Samsung Galaxy A07 Camera Replacement
If your Samsung Galaxy A07 is taking blurry photos, failing to focus, or showing a blank screen when you open the camera app, it might be time for a camera replacement. This repair will restore the functionality of your 50MP main shooter and 2MP depth sensor. You can expect to open the plastic back cover and remove the motherboard bracket to access the camera modules. Please work in a clean environment to prevent dust from entering the new lenses.
Required Tools
- 1
Power off the device
- Before starting any repair, completely turn off your Samsung Galaxy A07.
- This prevents accidental short circuits while you are working inside the phone.
- Remove the SIM card tray using a SIM eject tool.
- 2
Heat the back cover
- Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply even heat to the edges of the back cover.
- Keep the heat source moving to avoid melting the plastic panel or damaging the internal battery.
- Warm the adhesive until the phone is hot to the touch.
- 3
Slice through the adhesive
- Apply a suction cup to the lower half of the back cover and pull up gently to create a small gap.
- Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it around the perimeter to cut the adhesive.
- Be careful not to insert the pick too deeply near the camera lenses to avoid scratching them.
- 4
Remove the back cover
- Once all the adhesive is cut, carefully lift the back panel away from the phone.
- Set it aside in a safe place.
- Clean any leftover adhesive from the frame using isopropyl alcohol and a plastic scraper.
- 5
Unscrew the motherboard bracket
- Locate the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic motherboard bracket and antenna assembly.
- Remove all the screws and keep them organized on a magnetic mat.
- Gently pry up the bracket with a spudger and remove it to expose the motherboard.
- 6
Disconnect the battery
- Safety is paramount, so immediately locate the battery connector on the motherboard.
- Use a plastic spudger to pry the connector straight up from its socket.
- Disconnecting the battery ensures no power flows through the board while you handle the delicate camera parts.
- 7
Disconnect the camera modules
- Locate the press connectors for the 50MP main camera and the 2MP depth camera.
- Use the flat end of your spudger to gently pry these connectors up from the motherboard.
- Take your time to avoid bending the pins on the board.
- 8
Remove the old cameras
- Carefully lift the camera modules out of their housing using tweezers.
- If they are held down by a small amount of mild adhesive, apply a drop of isopropyl alcohol to loosen them.
- Pull the cameras out and set them aside.
- 9
Install the new camera module
- Place your new replacement cameras into the designated slots on the frame.
- Ensure they sit completely flush and align with the motherboard connectors.
- Gently press the connectors down until they snap into place.
- 10
Reconnect the battery and test
- Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard.
- Temporarily place the motherboard bracket back on and power on the phone to test the new camera.
- Check for clear focus and proper color balance before proceeding to the final assembly.
- 11
Reassemble the internal components
- Power the phone back down and disconnect the battery once more if you need to adjust anything, otherwise leave it connected.
- Secure the plastic motherboard bracket in place and fasten all the Phillips #00 screws.
- Ensure the bracket sits perfectly flat against the frame.
- 12
Seal the phone
- Apply a new precut adhesive strip to the perimeter of the phone frame.
- Press the back cover firmly into place and apply steady pressure around the edges for a few minutes.
- You can use rubber bands or heavy books to clamp the phone while the adhesive cures.

FAQ
Will this repair fix a cracked camera lens glass?
No, the exterior lens glass is part of the back cover assembly on the Galaxy A07. If only the outer glass is broken, you will need to replace the back cover or the individual glass lens cover instead of the internal camera module.
Do I need to calibrate the new camera after installation?
The Samsung Galaxy A07 does not require software calibration for a replacement camera. The new module should work perfectly as soon as you plug it in and turn on the device.
Why is my new camera failing to focus?
Ensure that you removed all protective plastic films from the new camera lens before installation. Additionally, check that the motherboard connector is firmly seated and free of dust or debris.
Is my phone still water-resistant after this repair?
The Galaxy A07 has an IP54 rating for basic dust and splash resistance. Opening the phone breaks the factory seal, so you must use high-quality replacement adhesive to restore any level of moisture protection.
