Samsung Galaxy S25 Housing Replacement
A severely bent or heavily scratched frame can compromise the structural integrity of your Samsung Galaxy S25. Replacing the housing requires a complete teardown of the device to transfer all internal components into the new frame. This repair is complex but highly rewarding, giving your phone a brand new exterior and ensuring it remains protected from dust and moisture.
Required Tools
- Heat gun or hair dryer
- Suction cup
- Plastic opening picks
- Spudger
- Phillips #000 screwdriver
- Tweezers
- Isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher)

Step by step

Step 1: Heat and Remove the Back Glass
Apply heat to the edges of the back glass using a heat gun to soften the adhesive.
Attach a suction cup to lift the glass slightly, then insert a plastic pick to slice through the adhesive around the perimeter.

Step 2: Remove the Wireless Charging Coil
Unscrew the Phillips #000 screws securing the wireless charging coil and motherboard shield.
Carefully lift the coil assembly and disconnect it from the motherboard using a plastic spudger.

Step 3: Disconnect the Battery
Always disconnect the battery immediately after accessing the motherboard to prevent electrical shorts.
Use a plastic spudger to gently pry up the battery connector from its socket.

Step 4: Extract the Motherboard and Cameras
Disconnect all visible flex cables, including the display, charging port, and antenna cables.
Remove any remaining screws holding the motherboard, then carefully lift it out along with the rear camera module.

Step 5: Remove the Lower Components
Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly and lift it out of the bottom of the phone.
Disconnect the flex cables attached to the sub board, then carefully pry up the charging port board and vibration motor.

Step 6: Extract the Battery
Locate the battery adhesive pull tabs and pull them slowly to release the battery from the old frame.
If the tabs break, apply a few drops of high concentration isopropyl alcohol under the battery to dissolve the adhesive before gently prying it out.

Step 7: Transfer Small Components
Move any remaining small parts, such as the earpiece speaker, buttons, and 5G antennas, from the old housing to the new one.
Use tweezers to carefully position them in their exact respective slots.

Step 8: Install the Motherboard and Battery
Place the motherboard into the new housing and secure it with its screws.
Apply new adhesive for the battery, press the battery firmly into place, and reconnect all flex cables except the battery connector.

Step 9: Reassemble and Seal the Phone
Reinstall the lower sub board, loudspeaker, and wireless charging coil, securing them with their Phillips screws.
Finally, reconnect the battery, apply new precut adhesive to the back glass, and press it firmly onto the new housing to seal the device.

Buying an OLED assembly with the frame preinstalled is highly recommended. Separating the original OLED screen from the old frame is extremely risky and often results in a broken display.
Do not puncture the battery with metal tools. Apply isopropyl alcohol under the battery edges, wait a minute for the adhesive to soften, and use a plastic tool to gently lift it.
Double check all flex cable connections, especially the display and battery connectors. Ensure the motherboard is seated flat and no cables are trapped underneath it.
