Step by step

Step 1: Remove the SIM Tray and S Pen
Power down the smartphone completely.
Insert your ejector tool into the pinhole at the bottom to remove the SIM tray, then click and slide out the S Pen.

Step 2: Heat the Rear Cover
Apply gentle, uniform heat around the edges of the rear glass using a heat gun set to approximately 75-80°C for 2 to 3 minutes.
Avoid concentrating heat over the camera lenses to prevent optical damage.

Step 3: Separate the Rear Glass
Attach a suction handle near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward to create a hairline gap.
Insert a thin plastic pick into the gap, slice slowly through the perimeter adhesive, and work around the frame without inserting the pick deeper than 4 mm.

Step 4: Remove Midframe and Bracket Screws
Locate the Phillips #00 screws securing the upper wireless charging assembly and the lower loudspeaker cover.
Unthread all screws carefully and keep them organized by length on a magnetic work mat.

Step 5: Lift the Wireless Charging Coil
Use a nylon spudger to release the plastic clips holding the upper bracket and wireless charging pad.
Carefully peel the charging coil assembly upward away from the motherboard.

Step 6: Disconnect the Battery Terminal
Pry the battery connector directly upward off the logic board using the flat end of a plastic spudger.
Disconnecting power immediately prevents accidental electrical shorts while handling subsequent components.

Step 7: Disconnect Interconnecting Flex Cables
Unclip the display ribbon and main interconnect cables crossing the battery surface using your spudger.
Gently bend these flex cables out of the workspace to expose the entire battery bay.

Step 8: Peel the Battery Release Tabs
Locate the integrated plastic pull tabs surrounding the perimeter of the battery pouch.
Peel the tabs upward in sequence to break the mechanical hold without needing dangerous prying tools.

Step 9: Extract the Battery Cell
Firmly hold the plastic tabs and lift the battery out of its chassis recess.
Never use sharp or metal tools against the cell, and take care not to scratch the large copper vapor chamber positioned directly underneath.

Step 10: Install the New Battery
Clear away any torn adhesive fragments, then seat the replacement battery evenly into the midframe bay.
Connect and smooth down the integrated securing tabs, then reconnect the interconnect and screen cables.

Step 11: Reconnect Power and Reassemble
Attach the battery connector to the mainboard, reinstall the wireless charging coil, and secure all bracket screws.
Turn the phone on to confirm proper boot and charging function before applying new perimeter adhesive and clamping the rear glass shut.
