   • Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic top cover and the attached wireless charging coil.
   • Use a spudger to release the plastic clips along the perimeter, then lift the shield assembly out of the chassis.

   • Wedge the flat edge of a non-conductive plastic spudger beneath the battery flex connector and pry it straight upward to disconnect it.
   • Cutting power at this stage prevents short circuits while working around live logic board traces.

   • Disconnect the main motherboard-to-sub-board interconnect ribbons and the display flex cable using your plastic spudger.
   • Fold these ribbon cables gently out of the battery cavity so they do not catch during cell removal.

   • Locate the plastic film tabs hugging the edges of the battery pouch.
   • Use your fingers or blunt tweezers to peel the tabs upward, freeing the adhesive sleeves holding the cell in place.

   Extract the Old Battery

   • Pull the release tabs upward with steady, even pressure to lift the old battery out of the tray.
   • Never use metal tools or apply excessive bending force to pry the battery free, as this can rupture the cell.

    Install the New Battery

    • Clear any loose dirt or damaged adhesive tape from the battery bay, then place new mounting strips into position.
    • Press the replacement 4,300 mAh battery firmly into the tray, ensuring proper orientation so the battery flex cable lines up naturally with its motherboard socket.

    Reconnect, Test, and Seal

    • Reconnect the display and interconnect cables, followed by the battery connector.
    • Reinstall the upper shield, apply a fresh pre-cut perimeter adhesive gasket to the frame, press the rear glass into place, and apply gentle clamping pressure for 15 minutes to secure the seal.
