This repair is necessary when your Galaxy S26 fails to charge, intermittently disconnects during data transfer, or displays persistent moisture-detection warnings caused by physical pin wear or liquid ingress. Because the USB-C port is integrated onto a dedicated lower sub-board alongside the microphone and antenna contacts, replacing the entire daughterboard assembly provides the cleanest and most durable fix. Expect to apply heat to slice through the factory rear glass adhesive before accessing the modular internal components.

   • Turn off the Galaxy S26 completely and discharge the battery below 25 percent to minimize thermal risk during disassembly.
   • Insert a SIM ejector tool into the hole at the bottom frame edge and remove the SIM tray.

   • Place the phone face-down on a heat pad set to 75 degrees Celsius for 3 to 4 minutes, or warm the outer perimeter using a heat gun on low airflow.

   • Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge and pull upward to create a slight seam between the glass and the aluminum frame.
   • Insert a thin plastic pick no deeper than 3 to 4 mm and glide it around the perimeter to sever the factory adhesive.

   Remove the Back Cover

   • Gently lift the rear glass clear of the chassis once all adhesive points are separated.
   • Set the panel aside safely on a clean, soft surface to avoid scratching the camera lenses or inner coatings.

   Disconnect the Battery

   • Unscrew the upper midframe screws securing the wireless charging coil and antenna plate.
   • Lift the plate away and use a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard, cutting all power before continuing.

   • Remove the Phillips #00 screws holding down the lower speaker module that covers the daughterboard.
   • Gently release the module from its perimeter clips using a spudger and lift it out of the frame.

   • Remove the single retaining screw holding the charging port sub-board to the frame.
   • Lift the board up gently with a pry tool and ease the USB-C receptacle backward out of its chassis port cutout.

   • Slot the new USB-C port into the frame opening, aligning the microphone port gasket accurately.
   • Reinstall the retaining screw, snap all coaxial antenna cables securely into place, and reconnect the main interconnect flex ribbons.

    Test and Finalize Reassembly

    • Reinstall the speaker housing, reconnect the battery flex, and temporarily power on the phone to confirm charging and microphone operation.
    • Power off, clear old adhesive residue with isopropyl alcohol, install a fresh pre-cut adhesive gasket, and press the back cover firmly into place.
